Aoife McNicholl

A native of Limavady, Aoife graduated from Ulster University in 2012 with a L.L.B. Honours degree in Law & Politics.Aoife joined Sheehan & Partners in November 2012, qualified as a solicitor in December 2017 and is now a Senior Associate with the firm.

Aoife practices as an advocate in the District Court as well as representing clients in the Central Criminal Court and Special Criminal Court, and in judicial review and civil litigation cases. Aoife also represents victims and prisoners before the Parole Board and persons who are the subject of garda questioning. Aoife has particular interest in juvenile justice and prisoner rights.

Aoife is Chair of the Irish Women Lawyers Association, a council member of the Association on Criminal Research and Development, has tutored PPC students and lectured on the Law Society Diploma course and co-authored articles for the Law Society Gazette.
